Precocious Karina discovers that her father has abandoned her in rural Japan. While living in a temple with her grandfather, she meets a giant “ghost cat” and the infamous stray who has been accused of being her. Distrustful of her new guardian, Karina sabotages Anzu’s mundane tasks for the townspeople and befriends the eccentric spirits of the local forest. In an effort to win over Karin, Anzu accidentally makes a deal with the devil and all hell breaks loose.
