After the untimely death of his father, a young boy is left in the eerie solitude of a country estate with his recently widowed stepmother. Struggling to navigate the stressful task of parenthood, her stepmother keeps her distance, so their fragile bond is in danger of collapsing. Amid rising tension, the boy begins to hear unsettling sounds through the corridors and is soon haunted by a grotesque creature that bears an unsettling resemblance to his late father. As the boy’s warnings are dismissed as the imagination of a grieving child, the sinister entity tightens its grip on their crumbling lives.
